About USLLS:
Established in 2001, USLLS’s objective was to run a Five Year Integrated Professional Law Course and to serve as an institution of advanced legal studies. It was the rst University Law School established in the vicinity of the Supreme Court, Delhi High Court, various subordinate courts, commissions, tribunals and various monitoring o ces of national and international voluntary organizations. Its Faculty is selected prescribing higher quali cation than the University Grants Commission (UGC). Admissions are made on the basis of the Common Entrance Test; the intake every year is 60. It also o ers LL.M, Ph.D. and Post Doctoral research facilities in law.
The approach of the law school is to develop a positive attitude in students and make them realize that the lawyers are an integral part of the system of adjudication, determination of policies and setting up of standards for regulation of various activities through relevant institutions. It, therefore, trains them for placements in judiciary , quasi-judicial bodies , regulatory authorities , commissions , voluntary organizations and other sectors . Keeping in view the status of litigation in the court system, courses are also o ered in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADRs) and Client Counselling and Interviewing. These courses train a lawyer to o er alternative ways of dispute resolution outside the court system.

The school offers Ph.D. programme in various discipline of law where eleven students are already enrolled.
The University maintains four hostels on campus, two for the boys and two for the girl students of the University. The two boy’s hostels are named Shivalik Hostel, Aravali Hostel and two girl’s Hostel are named Nilgiri Hostel and Satpura Hostel. Each hostel has over 180 single seat rooms. Each room is equipped with basic furniture like cot, mattress, pillow, chair, table, cupboard, tube light and fan. Each of the hostels provides mess facilities for the residents. A common room, gymnasium, reading room and sports facilities are also available for residents. There is a provision for round the clock water and electricity facilities for the hostels. It is a concerted e ort of the University to provide a wholesome hostel facility for the residents and help them pursue their respective academic and professional goals to their best. It is a consistent endeavor of the hostel administration to follow the well- established ethos of hostel life and promote a healthy community atmosphere in the hostel. Ragging, physical violence, negative discrimination, consumption of alcoholic or narcotics substances is strictly prohibited in the hostels.
