Student Bar Association:

If good lawyering skills are essentials for an advocate, mooting during law school is the greatest asset that a student can inculcate. Here, at Symbiosis Law School, Pune, we understand this need to encourage mooting and aspire to create such a healthy pool of young lawyers. The Student Bar Association (SBA) is the institution’s student committee entrusted with fostering, administering and facilitating mooting activities and upholding the benchmark of excellence that Symbiosis Law School, Pune has set for itself.

SBA serves to develop future mooters, as well as an interest in mooting. In pursuance of this, the SBA follows a policy of encouraging participation in mooting from all batches, including the rst years. To allow them to compete on an equal footing, the SBA organizes extensive workshops and demonstrations to enable them to learn the process of mooting from the very basics to the most intricate details. Further, the SBA arranges for interactive sessions with experienced mooters and litigators from previous batches to guide the present mooters in a better manner. The SBA also organizes ‘Symbiosis Law School, Pune – Internal Moot Elimination’ during the year which puts senior batches against the junior batches and the ‘Novice Moot Elimination’ to encourage the rst years to take up mooting, and subsequently represent the college in numerous moot court, mock trials, judgment writing, client counseling and negotiation competitions.
