5 year BA BBA LLB (Hons.)

Candidates aspiring to join either Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (BA. LL.B.) or Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Laws (BBA. LL.B.) Programme offered by Symbiosis Law School, NOIDA, constituent of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune, is required to mandatorily take the ‘Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT)’. SLAT will be conducted in an online mode (CBT) across various cities of India.

Eligibility: The candidate should have passed 12th (10+2) standard examination from any government-recognized board with minimum 45% marks or equivalent grade (40% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes). Students who have appeared for their H.S.C finals and awaiting results are also eligible to apply, subject to submission of passing certificate by the notified date.

Intake: The total intake is 300 seats, which includes 180 seats for BBA.LL.B. and 120 seats for BA.LL.B.

1 year Master Of Laws (LL.M.)

Centre for Post-Graduate Legal Studies (CPGLS), Symbiosis Law School, NOIDA offers Post-Graduate Programme (LL.M.) (One Year) in the following specialisation:

  • Business and Corporate Law
  • Criminal Law and Security Law

Candidates aspiring to join the LL.M. offered by Symbiosis Law School, NOIDA, a constituent of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), have to take the All India Admission Test (hereinafter referred to as AIAT) mandatorily, which consists of a Written Test (70%) and Personal Interview (30%).

Selection Procedure

  1. i. Candidates aspiring to join the LL.M. offered by Symbiosis Law School, NOIDA, a constituent of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), have to take the common, mandatory All India Admission Test (hereinafter referred to as AIAT), which consists of Written Test* (70%) and Personal Interview** (30%).
    Written Test will include an objective and subjective written test to assess teaching aptitude, research aptitude, legal aptitude and basic legal knowledge. It shall include questions from the following areas: Research Methodology, Legal Reasoning, Legal Aptitude, Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, Indian Penal Code, Public International Law, Human Rights, Indian Contract Act, Company Law, Family Law and Environmental Law.
    Personal Interview is intended to test the Personal Attributes, Fitment, Work Experience, Publications and Statement of Purpose.

    Note: You are requested to bring a Statement of Purpose (SOP) of not more than 250 words and two references (one page each) from the Head and Supervisor/Professor of your Institute/ College at the time of appearing for the AIAT.

  2. Candidates will appear for AIAT and PI as per the applicable schedule in a given case. The final Merit list shall be drawn based on AIAT Score (70%) and Personal Interview (30%) performance.

Eligibility

Three- or Five-Year LL. B Degree from any Indian or Foreign University recognised by the UGC with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade [45% for SC/ST Candidates]. Candidates who have appeared for the final year LL. B. examination may also apply.

Hostel Accommodation

SLS-NOIDA has an operational Girls Hostel with 240 seater capacity, just behind the academic block. The residence will be a model for comfort living and learning for our students. It will consist of spacious living areas with Wi-Fi facility and an en-suite bathroom. Communal spaces are large, airy and designed to foster work and socializing in comfort.

A student pursuing her studies at Symbiosis International University, Noida Campus, may reside in a hostel located in the Campus.

Noida campus has two well-furnished 3 storied hostels for Girls. Each room (triple Sharing) has an attached toilet (equipped with faucet) and bath. Carpet area of rooms in Hostel 1 is 373 Sq ft and Hostel 2 is 354 Sq ft. Each room has 02 fans and 02 tube lights. All toilets and bathrooms (geyser tted) are lit with LED bulbs.

The rooms are NON-AC. Students, at their own expense, can buy and install desert coolers. AC is not permitted to be installed. Window and door curtains have been provided.

Room Allotment: Room allotment is done by Campus Administrator in consultation with the

Director.

Furniture and Fixtures: Following furniture is provided to each student:Hard bed with coir foam mattress (No pillow, No linen).

Cupboard with locker.

Study table and study chair.

Wall mounted Book shelf.

Security: Each hostel is manned 24×7 by lady security guards. No males, even maintenance sta , are permitted to enter the hostel unescorted.

Safety and Personal Belongings: Students are personally responsible for the safety of their all valuables. The room key and Cupboard (and locker) key are issued to students by the warden. No spare key is maintained. Students are not permitted to change locks.

Wi- Facility: All hostel rooms have access to Wi-Fi facility.

Damage Charges: Students will be required to pay double the original cost if any item is found damaged or missing from their room/common areas/corridors.

Water and Electricity: It is provided 24×7 at no extra cost. While leaving the room students are expected to switch o lights and fans and close all taps. No electric appliances such as electric iron/kettle/heater are permitted in the rooms. These will be con scated.

Drinking Water: Reverse Osmosis (RO) drinking water is available on each oor. Warm water during winters is made available in mess as well hostels.

Recreation Facilities: A separate recreation room equipped with 40” colour TV (with TATA SKY cable connection), Chess, table tennis and carrom board has been provided at rst oor (above dining hall).

Reading Room: A separate reading room has been provided in the SCHC building (which houses Gym and Health care centre). Hostel students can study in this room till late night without disturbing others.

Medical Facilities: Basic medical facilities are available round the clock at SYMBIOSIS Centre for Health Care (SCHC). Doctors and female nurses are based on campus 24×7.

Sports and Gymnasium: Cricket practice pitch, badminton court (in Hostel A) and Basketball court are available for the sports enthusiasts. For tness freaks, a well equipped Gym is also available on campus.

Washer man facility is available on payment. Newspapers too are delivered at door steps by vendors on payment.

Mess: Each hostel student is issued with a hostel identity card. It needs to be shown to the steward in the mess. B’fast, Lunch, snacks and Dinner are served as per laid down timings in mess. No outside food is allowed in the mess. Only students declared sick by the campus doctor can be served food in the room. However, there is no room service available. Students need to help each other in such times. Mess rules need to be followed strictly.

Hostel rules need to be complied by all hostellers.

Hostel Fees: The fees is ₹ 1,48,00/-. It is to be paid as one time payment and not in instalments.

The payment is to be made by Demand draft in favour of SYMBIOSIS SOCIETY payable at

Extra Curriculars

MOOT COURT SOCIETY

Mooting as an activity aims to inculcate and improve the research, presentation and argument talent into students so as to equip the budding pleaders with all the court-room etiquettes, research experience and advocacy skills. At Symbiosis Law School, NOIDA, it is a key co-curricular activity wherein the presentation skills and talents in argument of students are screened and further noticed about their level in the competition on a regular basis. This initiative is well supported and e?ectively carried out by a dedicated Moot Court Society.

DEBATE SOCIETY

With the aim of inculcating oratory skills and a holistic view of society as well as logical reasoning skills, The Debate Society at SLS Noida has been one of the most active societies with regular interactions and practises being conducted by the members. The Society has done a commendable job in polishing students to be great debaters which can be seen in the many laurels that the society has achieved over the years, both nationally as well as internationally. Moreover, SLS Noida also hosts Symiksha, A prestigious National Level Parliamentary Debate which sees participation from colleges all over the country.
