ABOUT:
The National Law Institute University, Bhopal (NLIU), was established by the Rashtriya Vidhi Sansthan Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, Act No. 41 of 1997, by the Madhya Pradesh State Legislature, substituted by Act No. 06 of 2018. NLIU is recognized by the University Grants Commission and the Bar Council of India. NLIU is the Second National Law School established after NLSIU, Bangalore. The VISION of NLIU is to become one of the best centers of legal education, training and research in the world. The MISSION of NLIU is to develop and nurture the intellect for the betterment of the nation and humanity through Law and Justice.
NLIU has been designing and delivering courses with a view to enhance the ability and capacity of the students, members of the faculty and other participants in avoiding and resolving problems within the framework of law. NLIU is currently hosting Undergraduate Course, Postgraduate and Ph.D. programmes in law. We are also proudly hosting a postgraduate course in Cyber Law and Information Security through a dedicated centre. We have dedicated team of faculty members to design and deliver many such innovative courses.

The minimum duration of the B.A.LL.B (Hons.) course is five academic years and the maximum duration is seven academic years. There are two semesters in an academic year. Continuous examination and evaluation are integral parts of the continuous learning process.

The present course is blended with Law and Technology to impart a comprehensive understanding of the legal regime pertaining to Cyber Security, Data Protection, Blockchain Technology, Artificial Intelligence and multi-media protection etc. in India with a comparative critical perspective. This course attempts to make the students familiar with Indian law and to understand international developments in this area.
Eligibility – Intermediate/Higher Secondary Board Exam (10+2) in science stream or its equivalent.

NLIU Bhopal has ample facilities for the students, staff and faculty members. Boys hostel, girls hostel, library, moot court, sports, gym, classrooms, auditorium, cafeteria, medical clinic, wi-fi, IT infrastructure, guest room, etc are the National Law Institute University Bhopal facilities. These facilities are provided with the aim of overall development of the students. The university provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls students. The hostel rooms are fully furnished and well-ventilated. Indoor games like table tennis, carrom, chess, etc and television are available in the hostels as recreational facilities. NLIU Bhopal facilities include a central library. Numerous books journals, periodicals, and e-resources are available in the university library. Both indoor and outdoor games like chess, carrom, badminton, basketball, football, volleyball, and cricket are available in the university sports department. All classrooms and lecture halls are fully air-conditioned and are well-furnished.
NLIU Bhopal was established by legislation of the Madhya Pradesh Legislature in 1997 and is the second National Law School in India. NLIU has grown to its current status by imparting quality education with the objective to contribute to national development by instilling a sense of responsibility among its students, while simultaneously cultivating a spirit of intellectual freedom, qualities of leadership, imaginative power, and clarity.

Over the past few months, I have seen this Batch prosper and excel irrespective of several hurdles faced by them. The students have shown immense interest and zeal in the online method of teaching and also have contributed to research projects and publications of the university.
GYAN MANDIR LIBRARY
The heart and soul of the University is its library “Gyan Mandir” which is housed in a centrally air-conditioned building. The library is well equipped with latest technology and tools and has a very rich collection of books, national and international journals of law and social sciences. It also has a large collection of e-resources like Lexis Nexis, Hein Online, JSTOR, Manupatra, AIR, SCC, etc.
Rajiv Gandhi National Cyber Law Centre
Rajiv Gandhi National Cyber Law Centre, a Centre of Excellence in cyber law and information technology. The Cyber Law Centre is constituted and crafted with the ambitious objectives to develop professional, expertise and skilled manpower to match with contemporary challenges emerging in relevance with cyber space & cyber security. It will enable legal and technical experts to efficiently regulate and create opportunities to meet economic challenges posed by the rapid technology movement, which is influencing virtually every area of development and social activity.
The Placement Coordination Committee (PCC) handles internships and placements at NLIU Bhopal. The PCC provides a transparent, credible, and accountable interface between prospective employers and graduating students and ensures complete support to the recruiters at every stage of placement process. Arrangements for pre-placement talks, written tests, group discussions and interviews can be made as per the requirement of the visiting recruiters.
