The University made a modest beginning by offering B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Course from the Academic Year 2017-18. The University also started the LL.M. (Master of Laws) Programme in the Academic Year 2018-2019. The University is also offering B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Course from the Academic Year 2022-2023.
B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) The five-year Integrated Degree Course Academic Curriculum of the University is inspired by the University Grants Commission (UGC) Curriculum Development Committee Report (CDCR) wherein the recommendations of the CDC report and the Bar Council of India (BCI) guidelines have been considered as the basic parameters to bring it in consonance with trends of globalization, pluralism, and social integration. Clinical legal education is an integral component of the academic curriculum of the university through which students understand how to appreciate practical socio-economic and legal issues and help the needy. The
course curriculum promotes inter- disciplinary approach integrating law, social sciences, and humanities. The University follows a semester system with six working days a week and follows the norms of the University Grants Commission and Bar Council of India, New Delhi. The University introduced the Choice-Based Credit Based System (CBCS) for undergraduate degree courses.
The students are required to earn a total of 250 credit points spread out through the course of five years; however, the students shall be allowed to earn more credits from the courses offered by external experts from time to time. Further, the course structure is designed to impart a total of 58 (Fifty-Eight) Papers of which 48 are Of compulsory papers, 4 (four) are Clinical papers and 6 are (Six) Optional papers. A wide range of optional papers would also be offered to the students. The
University has also introduced Seminar Papers courses to Students in various disciplines.
The number of seats
Intake (B.A. LL.B. Hons.) and (B.B.A.LL.B. Hons.): The total intake to the program is 60 (sixty)
students which include seats reserved under Maharashtra Reservation Policy. The
reservation matrix is as under:
i. 30% for Women across all categories.
ii. 5% seats for Specially Abled Persons (SAP). Certificate of Disability issued by
Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice
& Empowerment, Govt. of India
iii. Five (5) % seats of the total sanctioned intake for an institute, shall be reserved
for wards of Ex Servicemen/ Defence Personnel. Ex-Servicemen/ Defence
Personnel Certificate from the respective department Unit/ Dept. / HQ/ Records/
RSWO/ ZSWO/ Army/ Navy/ Air Force HQ is required.
iv. 1% for Orphan (MH) candidates- Horizontally only in Unreserved Category.

Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad has a six-storeyed (G+5) fully furnished newly constructed hostel having state-of-the-art infrastructure. The hostel is located inside the university campus just adjacent to the Centre of Excellence Building. The hostel includes fully furnished and spacious double-seater rooms with a balcony and a common washroom on each floor. The hostel complex features a sprawling lobby, a recreation room, and an area for a variety of sports. There is a functional mess with a dining capacity of 200+ students. To ensure the physical and mental well-being of the students, nurses are available 24*7 in addition to the regular visits of experienced Doctors and counselors/Psychologist in the hostel campus for consultation. Hot water supply through geysers, 24*7 Electricity, and Internet Connectivity have been provided in the hostel. The allotment of hostel rooms to UG and PG students on twin sharing basis is done at the beginning of each academic session. Each student is provided a cot, cupboard, chair, and table. The Wardens stay on campus and students are free to approach them regarding any problem, inconvenience, or ill health.
The University is steered and guided by distinguished Judges, Senior advocates, eminent Academicians, and abled Administrators as members of its General Council, Executive Council, Academic Council, Finance Committee, Building Committee, and Planning Board. The University has excellent, experienced, and competent Teaching Staff having a background of Teaching in National Law Universities and other reputed Law Schools in the Country.
The University is located on a green lush campus on the outskirts of the historic city of India, Aurangabad in the Kanchanwadi area. The University campus is located on 50 acres of the campus, which is surrounded by hills popularly known as the Nath Valley area. The University has excellent infrastructure on campus, having separate Hostels for the Girls and Boys studying at the University.
Library
A hybrid library, a combination of traditional forms of print resources with hi-tech digital resources and instruments, and dedicated to the larger mission of making itself relevant to the academic research, professional education, and teaching and learning needs of the faculty, students, and research community of MNLU-A.
A good library is key to the growth of an educational institution. Being the heart of the academic center of MNLU-A, Library understands well the fundamental importance of promoting lifelong learning and improving the knowledge, skills, and competence of its academic community. The University has from its inception had a Library of exceptional quality and it has ever since strived to improve the high standards of the facilities. Connecting both students and faculty with the global resources of knowledge, the library continues to adapt to the challenging new demands and provides a professional and conducive learning atmosphere for the empowerment of its users.
The library is growing its collection of books and journals covering a wide range of general and special subjects, comprising textbooks, reference books, and back volumes of journals and reports, apart from current legal periodicals.
A regular orientation program is organized for students to introduce them to the online resources, library system, services, and rules & regulations for enabling maximum utilization of the available resources.
