




Founded in alignment with the vision of Dr Karsanbhai K Patel in 2007, the Institute of Law at
Nirma University (ILNU) focuses on bringing about a paradigm shift in the delivery of legal
education in the country. Institute of Law aims to add newer dimensions in legal education that
incorporate international standards and provide an environment for innovation and holistic
development. Embodying the principles of justice education, excellence, and professionalism,
ILNU imparts quality legal education that has produced lawyers, leaders, and policymakers who
have carved a distinct niche over the years.

The Institute of Law envisions academic excellence which enables individuals to hone their skills with a sense of social responsibility and leadership. Ethics, value-based approach with a keen understanding of contemporary challenges and aspiration for professional excellence are integral to the learning environment at the Institute.
The undergraduate programmes, founded on the principle of Justice Education, are offered in three streams: B.A., LL.B. (Hons.), B.Com., LL. B (Hons.) and B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.)*.
The five-year integrated programme, spread over ten semesters, is approved by the Bar Council of India.

Life of students at the Institute of Law is diverse and unique. long with the academic pursuits, the institute provides an ideal mix of co-curriculars and extra curricular opportunities to the students. The Institute encourages students initiatives in organising and conducting various activities.
NIRMA INSTITUTE OF LAW STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATION (NILSAA) is the student representative body at the Institute. The exercises completed by the association are in scholastic, social, and sports fields Students take the responsibility to design, sort out, direct, and review the dealings, in this manner building up their authority and collaboration abilities. The cultural fest is an important part of the institute and it helps in the holistic development of the students associated with it.
In all these events, competitions, moots, conferences, guest lectures, encouragement in research work, debating, sports activities and many more offered by the Institute, students get acclimatised different cultures and co-curricular patterns and explore their sensitivities and finer nuances Continuous involvement in more than one activity reflects the skills and abilities of the student Students learn to prioritise and time management too.
