Courses Details

1. B.A., LL.B

BA LLB (Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws): A five-year integrated undergraduate program that combines legal studies with arts subjects. Students can specialize in various areas of law during their course.

2. BBA., LL.B

BBA LLB (Bachelor of Business Administration + Bachelor of Laws): Similar to BA LLB, but with a business administration component. It’s also a five-year integrated program.

3. LL.B.

LLB (Bachelor of Laws): A three-year undergraduate program for students who want to focus solely on legal studies. It’s a traditional law degree.

4. Diploma in Taxation Laws

Diploma in Taxation Laws: A specialized diploma program that covers various aspects of taxation laws and regulations.

5. Diploma in Labour Laws and Labour Welfare

Diploma in Labour Laws and Labour Welfare: This diploma program focuses on labor laws, industrial relations, and welfare measures for workers.

6. LLM

LLM (Master of Laws): A postgraduate program for law graduates who want to specialize in a specific area of law. ILS Law College offers LLM programs in various fields.

Admissions to the B.A L.L. B and L.L.B will be done as per the rules of the CET cell of the State of Maharashtra and Savitribai Phule Pune University.

Hostel Accommodation

(A) Hostel for Boys: Intake Capacity: 150

  1. Rooms: The hostel is in two wings and has 117 rooms.
  2. Facilities: Ample and free parking space for vehicles, basic furniture, hot water facilities, drinking water coolers, wireless internet connection.
  3. Food: Residents can eat in a dining hall of the mess by paying charges on monthly basis. Joining the mess is not compulsory. Residents may eat outside. Residents cannot order ti n from outside agencies.
  4. Fees:

o Fees for academic 2019-20 are as follows:

  1. 1st year of LLB or BA LLB: Rs 67,000 + Deposit of Rs 1000/- for Single Room;

                            Rs. 52,000 + Deposit of Rs 1000/- for Double Room

  1. New Admission (any class) (Double Room only) :Rs 52000 + deposit of Rs 1000 o Fees are liable to be revised before admission. o Fees do not include food. o Full fees for the year and caution money must be paid online (Net Banking or RTGS) after admission to the hostel is con rmed. Debit Cards will Not be Accepted. Demand Draft in favor of “Indian Law Society” payable at Pune.

(B)Hostel for Girls:

  1. Facilities: Ample and free parking space for vehicles, basic furniture, hot water facilities, drinking water coolers, washing machine, wireless internet connection, study room, sick room, TV and newspaper room.
  2. Fees:

                                        ▪    Fees for the academic year 2019-20 is Rs 1,75,000.

  1. Food: Residents eat in a dining hall of the Ladies Hostel Mess. Fees include charges for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the Ladies Hostel Mess.

Following is the procedure of admission to Ladies’ Hostel

  1. For First Year students: After seeking admission to the College, the student shall meet the Rector in person and register the name for admission to hostel.
  2. Second Year onwards :The students shall register their names for admission to hostel by sending an email to the following email id – ilsladieshostel@ilslaw.in between 8th July to 12th July
  3. Following details shall be mentioned in the email – NAME, CLASS and DIVISION, PRN NO.
  4. The list of students shortlisted for admission to hostel shall be displayed on the website of the college on speci ed date.(13th July)
  5. Only shortlisted students shall buy the Admission form from the College Administrative O ce after the declaration of the list.
  6. After lling the Admission form, the student shall pay the requisite fees online and Download the receipt.
  7. The Admission form and copy of receipt shall be endorsed from the Rector and be submitted to the o ce.
  8. The rector would allot the room while endorsing the form.
  9. Granting Admission to the Hostel is the discretion of the Chief Rector and may reject the application for admission. The decision of such rejection shall be nal and binding.

Extra Curriculars

To strike a healthy balance between academic and nonacademic activities, the College emphasizes on the participation of each student in all the extra and cocurricular activities held, by encouraging them to organize and take part in various enriching activities.

Debating Association

The College has a Debating and Elocution Society for promoting the strong positive arguing skills in the students. The Society organizes various debating, elocution & declamation competitions. It also conducts selections for various Inter College and University competitions.

Iterary & Cultural Activities

Students of the College also take part in various other competitions including Quiz, Dramatics, Creative writing, Mock UN Assembly etc. SPORTS A sprawling cricket, football and volleyball ground, a gymnasium, a swimming pool, tennis courts and an indoor sports complex with table tennis, chess and carom facilities make sports an integral part of any student’s life at the college.

Clinical Legal Education

The ILS Legal Aid Programme was started in 1976. It has received grants from CILAS, UGC, State of Maharashtra and the Ford Foundation. While the Legal Aid Cell is devoted to dispensing free legal advice and litigational assistance to the economically underprivileged, the conciliation cell makes attempt to settle disputes amicably.

Moot Court

Synonymous with the tradition of ILS Law College, moot courts were introduced by Principal J.R. Gharpure, in consonance with the movement started by Sir Lawrence Jenkins, the then Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court. The Bar Council of India has now included them in the curriculum. Mooting allows the students to practice the art of advocacy and the College lays emphasis on this activity to equip students for their future profession. To imbibe the ‘mooting culture’ in all the students, the College hosts the annual internal Moot Court Competitions viz. the prestigious Raghavendra Phadnis Moot Court Competition, the Novice Moot Court Competition, Intra College Trial Advocacy Competition, Intra College Negotiation Challenge and Intra College Client Counselling Competition.

Indian Law Society’s Centre for Arbitration and Mediation (ILSCA):

The ILS Centre for Arbitration and Mediation, fondly known as the ILSCA was established on 3rd December 2016 by the Governing Council of the Indian Law Society.

PLACEMENTS
