B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) (Faculty of Law)
The University offers B.A. (Hons.) with Political Science as a major subject and an LL.B (Hons.) with specialization in the area of Business Law, Constitutional Law and Criminal Law. Admissions to B.A., LL.B. (Hons) Programme are through the Common Law Admission Test conducted under the aegis of the CLAT Consortium.

The number of seats

Supernumerary Quota

* Only those OBC candidates whose parental income is less than the prescribed sum for the creamy layer can claim reservations under this category. Such candidates have to produce the requisite certificate from the competent authority to the effect that their parents currently do not come under the creamy layer category.

1. 50% Seats are horizontally reserved for candidates having domicile certificates from the State of Madhya Pradesh in the respective categories, including the General Category.
2. Reserved for candidates having the domicile certificate of the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
3. Reserved for candidates from the Economically Backward Section. 50% seats under the EWS category are reserved for candidates having the domicile certificate of the State of Madhya Pradesh.

Note: Supernumerary seats are over and above the regular seats.

Horizontal Reservation:

(a) 30% of seats are horizontally reserved for female candidates.

(b) 5% of seats are horizontally reserved for specially-abled persons (Persons with Disability)

(c) 5% seats are horizontally reserved for the candidates of M.P. domicile under the category son/grandson/daughter/ granddaughter of Freedom Fighter, and wards of War Martyr of Defence Personnel and permanently Disabled Personnel of the Indian forces/dependent children of the Ex-Servicemen of CRPF/Indian Army.

Seat Conversion:

If the reserved category seats (SC, ST, OBC) lie vacant due to the non-availability of suitable candidates/students, then they shall be filled up with candidates/students from the unreserved General Category.
