The spacious 50-acre sprawling campus of GNLU is not only home to its students and staff but also a myriad of trees, flowers, shrubs, butterflies, birds, and other living creatures, including rare and precious species.
This lush and precious endowment is cherished by members of the University community. We have comprehensive policies and guidelines to engage everyone and cultivate an attitude towards green living. Living in harmony with the environment is a major theme of the education here.
Moot Court
Gujarat National Law University strives to integrate the theoretical and practical aspects of law by conducting various moot court and client counseling activities on a semester basis. The Moot Court Committee is entrusted with the responsibility of facilitating and administering such exercises through its rigorous qualifying mechanism involving two rounds of mooting.
Library
Gujarat National Law University is popular for its World legal literature in addition to infrastructure, teaching, and research excellence. The library shares equally in making GNLU a
World-class law university. The library fosters the pursuit of academic excellence. The mission of the library is to connect people to the World of legal literature.
Health Care
A Physician and a Nurse visit the hostels every day in the evening. GNLU insists on the submission of a complete medical history of each student at the time of admission. There are a number of specialists in Gandhinagar who can be contacted in case of an emergency. The Apollo Hospital is nearby. The University students have special access to Civil Hospitals at Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad.
Science & Technology Laboratories
Since GNLU offers B.Sc., LL.B. (Hons.), a five-year integrated undergraduate program in law, the students study a range of science and technology courses in Life Sciences and Physical Sciences. The science laboratories are pillars for any institute in a science degree course and so GNLU has developed laboratories.
Sports Committee
The Sports Committee of Gujarat National Law University was commenced in the year 2008 with a vision to develop the sporting culture in the University. The new campus for GNLU brought with it improved infrastructure for sports, and the Sports Committee took this as the perfect launching pad to take sports activities in GNLU to new heights.
The Sports Committee works tirelessly through the year, organizing a plethora of inter-batch events, Stepover Cup, GFL, Volleymania, Super Sixes, Blacktop, Cyclathon, and Innards (Chess, Carom & Table Tennis) that have not only kept the fun alive amongst the enthusiastic students
Legal Services Committee
The GNLU Legal Services Committee has been set up in the year 2007 by way of Section 4(k) of the Legal Service Authorities Act, 1987 which reads as “Develop, in consultation with the Bar Council of India, programs for clinical legal education and promote guidance and supervise the establishment and working of legal services clinics in universities, law colleges, and other institutions”. The Legal Aid Cell (or committee, as is the practice now), established under statutory law provides assistance through a variety of methods, including traditional casework, summary advice, self-help, community legal education, community development, and policy reform initiatives.
Student Activities Committee
The Student Activities Committee, popularly known as SAC is an organization of students who work to promote extra-curricular activities in the University. The various student activities organized by the SAC offer students, a much-needed ‘break’ from the busy, officious, and monotonous schedule of Law School. The SAC caters to diverse student interests varying from cultural pursuits like Music and Dance to literary activities Elocutions, Quizzing, and Parliamentary Debating. The Literary-Entertainment Club of SAC is also affiliated with the online students magazine, Jury’s Out. Specific student involvement in Films, Books, etc is also nurtured by the SAC. The SAC consists of ten clubs, with the Gaming Club introduced for the first time, which addresses varied student interests.
Competitive examination guidance committee
Gujarat National Law University’s vision and mission are to be socially relevant and to return to society in the most significant manner. The Gujarat National Law University has taken up this responsibility by grooming and spearheading awareness for Civil Services, Judicial Services, and other competitive exams under the aegis of the GNLU Competitive Exam Guidance Committee (GCGC). The GCGC is functioning since 2010.
Committee for persons with disability
The GNLU Committee for Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) was established in the year 2017 as an Enabling Unit, in compliance with the UGC Scheme for Persons with Disabilities.
Gujarat National Law University is known for its stellar placement record. The first offline post-pandemic Day Zero was conducted by the Committee of Recruitment Affairs, the principal body entrusted with the responsibility of managing and conducting the recruitment process in GNLU.

Legal History Museum of GNLU is a visual journey into the India’s past where Indian laws were enacted and practiced in time and space. The museum is one of the most important landmarks in the journey of GNLU and is not merely a piece of infrastructure but a living epitome of the historic past. The Museum comprise evolution of Legal History of India of more than 2500 years, development of law and Judicial Institutions in Ancient, Medieval and Modern time comprising codification of civil and criminal law. These all will sealed in pictographically mode.
The Museum is unique in its approach to deal with the history of development of precedence in India, where role of Dharmashastras, Smritis, Sutras, Neetis and commentaries on them, Muslim Law Codes like Fiqu-i-Firozshahi and Fatwa-i-Alamgiri, role of House of Lord and House of Commons of England, role of Law Commission of India in development of modern legal structure and Constituent Assembly debates and allied legal developments in pre and post independent era are preserved and displayed in a static as well as digital form.
